Modular ramping provides access for all

Flip Out Bristol, managed by Daniel Antoniou and his team, is a family-oriented franchise of the UK’s leading trampoline operator, Flip Out. Opened in January 2016, the Bristol venue is popular with children, teenagers, parents, and grandparents, who love to bounce for fun and fitness.

“Birthday party packages for children and adults are a big hit here,” explains Daniel.

Access to Bounce

“For one of our party bookings, we were asked about access to the trampoline arena for a disabled girl, so that she could join in her friend’s birthday celebration. Faced with a challenge, we were referred by a customer to speak to local mobility and modular ramping solution company, TVM Bristol & Cheltenham.

TVM Bristol & Cheltenham were brilliant. Following a site visit to assess the space, a cost-effective outcome was achieved. TVM Bristol & Cheltenham designed and supplied a portable, modular ramp, to provide ease of access for our less-abled customers. The solution was great, it was within our budget, and together with a fast turnaround, the service delivered was excellent.”

Improved accessibility for all

Since the installation of the modular ramping, one local group with disabled members, regularly book out the entire arena. The easy-to-set-up ramping facility has improved accessibility for wheelchair-bound customers, as well as for customers with buggies and people who use compact mobility scooters. There is a small step at the top of the ramp however staff will assist customers to get onto the arena. When not in use, the portable modular ramping is stored in a small room. Now, all customers can access the trampoline arena, whether as users or spectators.

Bespoke solutions

“Moving forward, we would like to install a permanent ramp through an outside entrance (subject to planning permission), as designated wheelchair access. We definitely plan to work on the next stage with TVM Cheltenham Ltd because of the efficient process from start to finish. The team was helpful and courteous and the bespoke solution met our immediate needs,” commented Daniel.
